Vendetta

A Book Review

Vendetta sm

She wasn’t supposed to be working that day. Instead, Nikki Boyd was remembering her deceased best friend on the anniversary of her death. But once she discovers a girl is missing, everything else stops – except the memories.

Then she finds the picture.

After all these years, could her sister’s abductor be at work once more?

I am a huge fan of romantic suspense, but so few authors do a good job with it. Lisa Harris is one of those few. From the moment I read the first chapter, I could not put this book down.

I can’t wait to see what she has in store for the next Nikki Boyd book.

One thing that stuck out to me in this novel was the depth that she gave her characters. These are not cardboard cut outs, but real people interacting with one another. They have a past, present, and future that makes me want to know them better, and cheer them on as they try to solve the crime before the girl dies.

I highly recommend this book to lovers of romantic suspense and fans of Irene Hannon. You will not be disappointed.

VendettaNo one needs to push Nikki Boyd to excel on the Tennessee Missing Persons Task Force. The case of her own missing sister, still unsolved after ten years, is the driving force in her work. When a Polaroid photo of a missing girl shows up at a crime scene, Nikki quickly recognizes similarities to the past. The closer she gets to the abductor, the more she feels this case has become personal, and she is not the hunter . . . but the hunted.

With this explosive first book in The Nikki Boyd Files, award-winning author Lisa Harris takes you on a fast-paced pursuit of justice that will have you holding your breath until the heart-stopping finish.
